Download a map of a country or region. Tap the search icon on the main panel. Enter a search request to the search tab or choose the category from offered search categories in the list.
You can search using any of the following options:
Address: enter the street name and house number. You can also add the city (if you're not there yet) and ZIP code. For example: Madison Avenue 789 New York 10065.
Note: the address will be found by ZIP code only if the ZIP code was added in OSM.org.
Name of the place. For example: Metropolitan museum.
Note: if you enter the name of the place on the language which is different from the country of the place, it may not be found. The place will be found by this name only if someone added it in OSM.
Keyword: the most popular categories are shown as icons under the search tab, but you can also use other keywords. For example: camping, caravan site, bicycle parking and so on.
Coordinates: Decimal (43.9775, 15.3854) or DMS (43°58′38″N 15°23′07.44″E).
You can select an item from search results or tap "View on map" (or the search button on the keyboard) to see all available results on the map.
If you want to search for a place in a different country or city (to your current location), you will need to download the relevant map, then zoom in the right area and start searching. Alternatively you can simply enter the country or city name into the search field.
Note: you will be able to find places only which are added at OpenStreetMap.org.
